Activities

In Kenya, provides a sponsorship programme for children to attend school and gives families food parcels every term. A girls' mentorship programme offers mentorship sessions, extra school tuition and mentorship camps, and a women's sewing group teaches skills and makes school uniform, clothing and craft items to sell to raise money. The foundation's purposes are the prevention or relief of poverty, in particular but not exclusively by equipping women with technical skills, knowledge and understanding to be economically secure and by economic empowerment initiatives that secure investment in their children's education; the advancement of education, including for young people vulnerable to exploitation, children within pastoralist communities, girls whose livelihood is defined through tradition and cultural practice, and those displaced through conflict; the advancement of health through health and wellbeing education workshops, medical screening and nutritious feeding programmes; and the advancement of citizenship or community development.
