Activities
Established to ensure that African and ethnic minority women, their children and young people from all backgrounds are given the support and services needed to live better and safer lives free from discrimination, domestic violence and abuse. It empowers them through skill development workshops, trainings and counselling so that they can be financially independent, and works with government, policy makers, mainstream agencies and local and international organisations to raise awareness of the barriers and challenges that prevent refugees, asylum seekers and forcibly displaced individuals from accessing support. It also promotes community development and integration by bringing people together, including ethnic minorities, young people, refugees and asylum seekers, and promotes community engagement and diversity through cultural activities and events locally and internationally, such as music and arts and crafts.
