Supports New Scots through the provision of bikes to better enable their daily mobility. Staff and volunteers repair and refurbish donated bikes to disburse to New Scots, and the charity runs community events to provide support and training to both New Scots and volunteers. Its stated purposes are the prevention or relief of poverty by providing free bicycles and related accessories and cycling-related education, volunteering and employment opportunities, where appropriate, for those seeking asylum and those granted refugee status and their dependents in Scotland; environmental protection through diverting functional bicycles and their working parts from recycling and landfill and refurbishing second-hand bicycles; the advancement of citizenship and community development through volunteering opportunities and promoting access to local amenities, activities and services through cycling; the advancement of health through access to cycles and promotion of the physical and mental health benefits of cycling; and the advancement of human rights and equality by promoting social inclusion and integration through cycling and community cycling events and activities.
