Activities

Advances education among Sudanese refugees in Darfur, Sudan and those displaced and currently residing in neighbouring countries, through the provision of educational materials, equipment and facilities. (The charity's constitution words this purpose differently, as covering Sudanese refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants displaced and currently residing in the UK, together with the promotion of their human rights.) It advances the physical and mental health of Sudanese asylum seekers and refugees in Scotland and relieves human suffering in Darfur, Sudan caused by the ongoing conflict, by providing and facilitating access to medical interventions in both countries. It advances citizenship and civic values among Sudanese refugees and asylum seekers currently residing in Scotland by encouraging and facilitating their integration into mainstream Scottish society, relieves poverty in Darfur among people affected by the conflict through skills training that improves their agricultural abilities and leads to greater self-sufficiency, and organises activities that allow them to celebrate Sudanese culture and values.
