EmpowerHer is a community-led charity supporting African women living in Scotland to overcome barriers, improve their wellbeing and build brighter futures, particularly women experiencing social isolation, unemployment, low confidence, financial hardship or difficulty accessing support. It organises events promoting African culture and languages and raising awareness of women's wellbeing, fosters support among women and celebrates the diversity of multicultural Scotland, and distributes food, clothing and other goods to disadvantaged communities, especially immigrant women and their children who have no recourse to public funds.
