Activities

Fife Law Centre provides free legal advice, assistance and representation to persons in Fife who, for reasons of disadvantage, are unable to access those services from other sources. Its objects are to promote access to justice and to relieve poverty by increasing the availability of, and facilitating access to, advice, assistance and legal representation for those in need by reason of age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other disadvantage. It also aims to advance education and citizenship, in particular by increasing knowledge and awareness of the law in fields including disability, mental health, community care, children, families, social work, housing, social security, personal debt, consumer matters, equal opportunity, human rights, the rights of victims of crimes or accidents, immigration and asylum, and employment, and to contribute to law reform.
