The Fleming Trust looks after housing units for residents of Dundee, from an estate gifted in 1929 by the late Robert Fleming. Its objects are the clearance and demolition of slum dwelling houses and the provision of suitable accommodation for re-housing the displaced occupants of slum property in Dundee and, failing them, other people residing or wishing to take up residence in Dundee who are members of the working classes or whose circumstances are not better than those of members of the working classes, or who are living in circumstances that Dundee City Council considers prejudicial to the health of the community or the individual, at rents reasonably within the capacity of the beneficiaries to pay.
