Activities
Supports, empowers and uplifts Black, migrant and other racialised communities in Scotland by creating culturally safe spaces, providing trauma informed wellbeing support and strengthening community voice. Its work includes advocacy, creative and therapeutic programmes, youth and family support, men's engagement, and specialist work with women and girls affected by inequality and gender based harm, alongside community outreach, training and partnership building. It challenges inequalities and discrimination faced by migrant Africans, advocates for migrant women and families in Edinburgh, supports the integration of migrant African families into Scottish society, and supports asylum seekers. It relieves hardship for people facing poverty, marginalisation and trauma resulting from migration, prioritising care experienced individuals, pregnant women, people who are homeless, people with vulnerable migration statuses such as No Recourse to Public Funds, and survivors of gender based violence and domestic abuse.
