Refuweegee is a registered charity warmly welcoming forcibly displaced people to Glasgow and broader Scotland. Its purposes, as recorded in its constitution, are to support the forcibly displaced community arriving in Glasgow and Scotland through the provision of community-built welcome packs, to engage both old and new communities in activities and events, and to work with international organisations to raise awareness and understanding of issues faced by the forcibly displaced community. It supports people immediately and sustains this help over many years if needed, and supports asylum seekers, refugees and anyone in need of help. This intentional act helps build bridges between new and established communities.
