SarahAkons Divine works to prevent and relieve poverty in the Black community, providing free goods such as food and clothing, money management and debt advice for people at risk of poverty, and help with applying for state benefits. It offers training in work skills, CV writing and interview preparation to improve employment prospects, researches the factors that contribute to poverty and campaigns on ways to tackle it. It also supports families and individuals in financial crisis, migrants, refugees and asylum seekers, homeless people, and survivors of abuse.
