Activities
The group provides community support to Ukrainian refugees who fled the war in Ukraine and resettled in South Ayrshire, running a Ukrainian Community Centre in Ayr that opened in November 2023. The centre is open seven days a week and membership is offered to every Ukrainian refugee living in South Ayrshire. Weekly activities include therapy sessions with a Ukrainian psychologist, a teenage group and an emotional support group for adults, informal social gatherings, peer support, a nightly teenage youth group, a community kitchen, educational programmes, and arts and cultural activities, all aimed at reducing isolation and supporting people living with trauma, bereavement, loss and separation.
