The charity's objects are to provide relief to migrant workers who are in need due to disadvantage caused by, among other things, language and cultural barriers and limited or no access to benefits or other financial support. Its stated objects include providing a central and accessible support and referral centre through which migrant workers can obtain advice, or be referred to organisations that can provide advice, about their rights as workers or otherwise, and providing multi-lingual assistance to help them understand and address financial, legal and other issues and access support services. The objects also cover relieving and preventing poverty amongst migrant workers by gathering data on services for migrant workers in Scotland, contributing to research and policy-making affecting migrant workers, and offering skills and knowledge programmes. In practice, advice is provided via a helpline, and the charity advocates for marginalised workers in Scotland and works to ensure that policy development includes their voices.
