Together at Cardiff Scholarship
How to apply
You need a place first: apply to the programme and wait for an offer. Scholarship applications are only considered from people who already hold one.
- Get an offer for an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate course at Cardiff for 2026/27
- Email Together at Cardiff at studentconnect@cardiff.ac.uk with your name, student ID number, and details of the programme you have an offer for
- Together at Cardiff sets up a case for you and supports you through the rest of the application process
- Alternatively, if you ticked the box indicating you're an asylum seeker (or child of one) on your UCAS application or at enrolment, Together at Cardiff will contact you directly by email
- Deadline for applications is 10 July 2026; outcomes are notified by the end of July 2026
How they select

There is no interview — the decision is made on documents. On most routes there are no subject entrance exams either: the main hurdle on the way into university is proving your level of English. The exceptions are medicine, dentistry and creative courses, where tests and portfolios do appear.

About the institution
Cardiff University, Cardiff, Wales — a City of Sanctuary; the 'Together at Cardiff' / Student Connect team administers dedicated support for asylum-seeking students, alongside a separate Tuition Fee Reduction Scheme for the general international-fee-status asylum-seeker population.
Mostly school leavers. Only 13.1% of students are over 30. If you are over 35, look at other universities on the list — there are more adults there.
