1:1 Support from Student Services

This is not a scholarship. There is no money or fee discount here — it is admission support: a visit, a consultation, an open day or a preparatory programme. Useful as a first contact with the university, but funding for study has to be found separately.

Having no access to student finance is not a condition here: people with recognised refugee status who already receive a student loan can apply.

You do not need to wait for an offer — the scholarship application can run alongside admission.

How they select

automatic, no separate application

There is no interview — the decision is made on documents. On most routes there are no subject entrance exams either: the main hurdle on the way into university is proving your level of English. The exceptions are medicine, dentistry and creative courses, where tests and portfolios do appear.

About the institution

University of Bath, Claverton Down, Bath, BA2 7AY. Eligible students 'will be offered the same means-tested support we offer other financially vulnerable groups.' The page does not name which office formally assesses fee status, but notes Ukrainian students granted leave under the Ukraine Family Scheme are eligible for home fee status if they also meet residency criteria. No English-language evidence requirements are given.

Mostly school leavers. Only 6.8% of students are over 30. If you are over 35, look at other universities on the list — there are more adults there.
