Having no access to student finance is not a condition here: people with recognised refugee status who already receive a student loan can apply.

How to apply

You need a place first: apply to the programme and wait for an offer. Scholarship applications are only considered from people who already hold one.

  1. Make Bath your Firm or Insurance choice via UCAS
  2. Watch for an invitation email from Bath in mid/late May 2026
  3. Answer three supporting questions (250 words each)
  4. Submit via the University of Bath Application Tracker by midday, Thursday 27 Aug 2026
  5. Request a household income assessment from your student loans agency (e.g. Student Finance England); allow 6-8 weeks
  6. Await the outcome from Friday 4 September 2026

There is no interview — the decision is made on documents. On most routes there are no subject entrance exams either: the main hurdle on the way into university is proving your level of English. The exceptions are medicine, dentistry and creative courses, where tests and portfolios do appear.
