How to apply
You do not need to wait for an offer — the scholarship application can run alongside admission.
- Apply to the university/course (no offer required by the scholarship deadline itself)
- Complete the online Sanctuary Scholarship application form (7 sections) with a personal statement
- Upload copies of qualification documents and Home Office letters confirming your immigration status
- Get a referee to write a signed supporting statement on letterhead (max 500 words)
- Upload documents via the form, or email them to wparticipation@uclan.ac.uk
- If shortlisted, attend a panel interview; decision given within two weeks of the interview

There is an interview here. It is a conversation about your situation and your study plans, not a subject exam: nobody tests the school syllabus or tries to catch you out. You can answer calmly, in your own words.
