How to apply
You need a place first: apply to the programme and wait for an offer. Scholarship applications are only considered from people who already hold one.
- Complete the Asylum Seeker Review Form (recommended before applying through UCAS)
- Apply through UCAS.com for a full-time undergraduate course at Liverpool starting September 2027
- Once you hold a conditional or unconditional UCAS offer from Liverpool, submit the Asylum Seekers Scholarship online application
- Provide a referee's contact details — a school, college, community or voluntary group representative submits a statement covering your circumstances, course suitability, community contribution, and how you'd benefit from university support
- Application must be entirely your own work — no AI-generated content
- Selected applicants may be invited to a clarification interview with a panel of senior staff

There is an interview here. It is a conversation about your situation and your study plans, not a subject exam: nobody tests the school syllabus or tries to catch you out. You can answer calmly, in your own words.

University of Liverpool — city-centre campus in Liverpool; the Widening Participation scholarships team (wpscholarships@liverpool.ac.uk) administers eligibility and fee-status checks for this scholarship, alongside a separate PGT Humanitarian Scholarship for masters study.
