How to apply
You need a place first: apply to the programme and wait for an offer. Scholarship applications are only considered from people who already hold one.
- Hold a current offer from the University of Nottingham UK Campus for year one of a full-time 3- or 4-year undergraduate course
- Gather your Home Office documentation on your asylum or human rights claim, showing the claim preceded your UCAS application
- Arrange a reference from a UK school, college, community group or social worker confirming your UK connection
- Complete the online application form via the university's Office Forms portal by the closing date (1 July 2026)
- Submit supporting statements from yourself and your referee — these decide the outcome if more than one eligible applicant applies

There is no interview — the decision is made on documents. On most routes there are no subject entrance exams either: the main hurdle on the way into university is proving your level of English. The exceptions are medicine, dentistry and creative courses, where tests and portfolios do appear.

Mostly school leavers. Only 6.9% of students are over 30. If you are over 35, look at other universities on the list — there are more adults there.
