The student finance condition

Open to applicants who do receive student finance

Having no access to student finance is not a condition here: people with recognised refugee status who already receive a student loan can apply.

You do not need to wait for an offer — the scholarship application can run alongside admission.

Create an account and complete the online application form
Write a personal statement that includes socio-economic information
Nominate one referee in the application form; their reference must be submitted by the deadline
For the fee-waiver option, answer 'yes' to the relevant question on the 'About You' tab if you are/were a refugee, stateless person, asylum seeker, or otherwise forcibly displaced

There is no interview — the decision is made on documents. On most routes there are no subject entrance exams either: the main hurdle on the way into university is proving your level of English. The exceptions are medicine, dentistry and creative courses, where tests and portfolios do appear.

About the institution

University of Oxford graduate-access programme for students from underrepresented backgrounds considering postgraduate study; applications are reviewed by academic lead assessors from each of Oxford's four divisions — no interviews are held.
