- In the claimant’s favour — the decision went the migrant’s way. Note: in the Upper Tribunal the appellant is often the Home Office — there, “appeal dismissed” means the claimant won.
- In the Home Office’s favour — the decision went the department’s way.
- Sent back / mixed outcome — the case was remitted to the first instance or decided in part.
- Outcome not determined — the outcome could not be determined unambiguously from the text. We do not guess.
